by fiveten was tasked with creating a new identity for AlTurath, an engineering and construction company established in Lebanon in the year 2000. As an exercise, we asked the cofounder, who happens to be an amateur calligrapher, to candidly write down the company’s name in Arabic. The result was then scanned and vectorized to create the logo. The word “al-turath”, which means heritage in Arabic, inspired the adopted earthy color scheme. The combination of earthy and vibrant colors establishes a fresh contrast and a new contemporary identity for the company.
